Join us at the hall on January 31st throughout the day to try out some new board games!
Local game designers are bringing out their newest board games for the community to try. Come out to meet new people, be the first to play a new game, and provide feedback to the artists to improve their craft!
Neighbourhood Health & Safety Conference
Join us on February 12th from 7 pm to 8:30 pm to learn about how we can all work together as a community to make our neighbourhood safer. We have guest speakers from the REACH Organization and our board.
REACH is a non-profit organization established to foster a safer city through crime prevention programs and community collaboration. A community league board member, Michael Cervantes, recently completed CPTED (crime prevention through environmental design) training and is looking to share what he learned with the community so we can work together to create a greater impact.
As you may have noticed at our Winter Feast, we have begun a new partnership with the Alberta Film School. They are working with the community league to capture photos and videos of our programs and events to create lasting memories for our members. Meanwhile, students gain important hands-on experience for their careers. We recognize some folks may not be comfortable with having their photo taken and used on our social media, so we will be providing opt-out forms moving forward.
