As the summer season winds down, we have plenty of exciting activities and updates to keep our community connected and active. From the reopening of local facilities to brand new musical performances, there is something for everyone to enjoy this September.
Community Swim: JP Pool is OPEN!
We are thrilled to announce that the Jasper Place Pool is officially back open! One of the best perks of your Community League membership is access to free swimming all year round. Grab your towel and head over during our designated community league hours:
- Saturdays: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Sundays: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
To gain entry, please bring proof of your Community League Membership (either digital or paper). If you are having trouble locating your membership details, please send us a message and we will be happy to help.
Parents and Kids Club
Our Parents and Kids Club is back in action! This weekly Thursday group is a fantastic way for families to connect and for children to play in a welcoming environment. The fall session runs from September 12 through December 19. For full details on how to join, please visit our Programs page.
Save The Date: Community League Day
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 21, 2024. We are celebrating Community League Day with a special event for all our neighbors! We are currently finalizing the festivities, so stay tuned for more details coming very soon.
Music in the Park 2024

To celebrate the end of our beautiful summer evenings, we invite you to join us for our first-ever Music in the Park series. We are proud to showcase talented local Edmonton musicians in our very own neighborhood. We will have a concession stand available and memberships for purchase on-site. We will be alternating locations between the Community Hall and the Sherwood Playground park spaces.
Upcoming Artists:
- September 4: Amanda Penner (West Jasper location)
- September 11: Paul Woida (Sherwood location)
For more background on the series, feel free to check the August newsletter.
Summer Pop-Up
Keep an eye out for our Summer Pop-Up presence at the Sherwood Playground! We’ll be stopping by most Sundays for the remainder of the summer to hand out freezies and other treats. It’s a great excuse to get outside and say hello to your neighbors!
