Summer is in full swing, and we have plenty of ways for you to stay cool and get involved with your neighbors in West Jasper Sherwood. From sweet treats at the playground to opportunities for community leadership, here is what is happening in our neighborhood.
Freezies at the Playground
Beat the summer heat with a refreshing snack! We will be handing out freezies and other delicious goodies at the Sherwood playground (located at 154 St & 93 Ave). Join us on Sunday, July 14th and Sunday, July 21st starting at 1:00 PM. It is a great chance for the kids to play while you catch up with friends.
Rescheduled Ice Cream Social
Mark your calendars! Our Ice Cream Social has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 18th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Come enjoy some cold treats and take the opportunity to meet your neighbors. Members of the League Board will be on hand, so this is a perfect time to share your thoughts or discuss community topics in a relaxed, friendly setting.
Join Our Community League Board
Are you looking for a way to give back to your neighborhood? We are looking for enthusiastic residents to join our Board! The time commitment is manageable—just one 90-minute board meeting per month, plus a few hours dedicated to specific projects or tasks. If you are interested in helping shape the future of our community, please send an email to josh@westjaspersherwood.ca.
Community Garden Openings
There is still time to get your hands in the dirt! If you would like to secure a community garden plot or if you are interested in joining our dedicated gardening team, please reach out to Maria at maria@westjaspersherwood.ca.
