Welcome to our latest community update. We have several important announcements regarding local safety, upcoming construction projects, and a special weekend event for our members.
Virtual Membership Drive: Special Weekend Rates
This year, to ensure the safety of our volunteers and residents during the ongoing pandemic, we will not be hosting our traditional membership drive at the hall. However, your support is more important than ever. Membership fees are vital for maintaining our community facilities, including our hall, playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, and skating rinks.
To support our residents during these challenging times, we are offering a Special Membership Rate for one weekend only on Saturday, September 19th and Sunday, September 20th:
- Family: $20.00
- Single (18+): $5.00
- Senior (55+): $5.00
Additionally, the EFCL has generously agreed to waive the online administration fee for this weekend only! After September 20th, rates will return to $30 for families and $15 for singles, plus a $5 online fee.
Why join? Membership perks include free use of our ice rink, discounts at City of Edmonton recreation facilities, and savings at various local businesses and the UofA Tech Centre. View the full list of benefits here.
Ready to join? Purchase your membership on Sept 19-20 at efcl.org/membership-purchase/.
Fireworks Regulations: Setting the Record Straight

If you are interested in using fireworks on your private residential property, please [click here to read the official guidelines](files/news/Fireworks-Permit-Update 6_25_2020.pdf) and learn about permit requirements.
