New Supportive Housing Project
Jasper Place Health and Wellness has received government funding to expand their supportive housing initiatives in our area. Building on the success of Canora Place, they are planning to construct three new buildings at 16022, 16026, and 16030-100th Avenue (located next to the Better Business Bureau). Each building will feature 10 to 12 units designed for hard-to-house individuals.
Please note that these sites require rezoning and approval by City Council. For more details on this project, you can reach out to Murray Soroka at 780-908-6309 or via email at murrays@jpwc.ca.

Volunteers Needed: 2019 Community Casino
Our community league is preparing for its first casino fundraiser since 2015! This event is scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2019 at the West Edmonton Palace Casino. While we await the exact dates, we are looking for volunteers to help make this a success. Shift lengths will be determined by the number of volunteers we recruit, and all volunteers will receive vouchers for their time.
Why is this important? The casino is our primary fundraiser. These funds are essential for covering high utility costs and maintaining our hall, skating rink, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Without the league's fundraising efforts, these amenities would not exist. Looking ahead, we will eventually need to replace our playground—a project that can cost up to $1 million. Your help ensures we have the resources to keep our community vibrant.
To volunteer or learn more, please call Irene at 780-489-2994.
