Community Programs

Winter Green Shack Free Drop-In

Until March 29th, children aged 6-12, accompanied by an adult, are welcome to attend a free drop-in for games and crafts in Arthur Elliot Park at West Jasper/Sherwood Community League, 9620-152 Street. Open Tuesday & Wednesday from 3:30-6:00 p.m. Saturday from 1:00-5:00 p.m.

Soccer Registration

Soccer registration for West Jasper Place and Sherwood residents is available for children ages 4 to 18. No experience is necessary. A community level program which is tax creditable. Volunteer coaches are required for teams to play. Coach training is available at no charge for persons willing to volunteer. Contact Jim at 780-489-7596 for further information.

Card Games


Wednesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 p.m. Sundays from 7:00 pm to 10:00 p.m. The cost is $1.00 per person. Beverages are provided. (Starting on September 6th & 10th.)

Progressive Rummy

Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. You don’t need a partner, just drop in. The cost is $5.00 per person. Beverages are provided. Payout is based on the number of players. (Continues until June 29th and then starts again September 7th.)

Cribbage Tournaments

On the first and third Wednesday of every month from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The cost is $5.00 per person. Beverages are provided. Payout is based on the number of players. (Starting on September 6th.)

Carpet Bowling

Starting in September, come and get some exercise on Mondays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $1.00 per person.

Modern Square Dancing

The St. Peters 2X4’s Dance Club, a non-profit organization, promotes square dancing, round dancing and clogging.  Starting September 15th, on Fridays, Beginner level from 7:00-8:30 p.m., and Mainstream level from 8:30-10:00 p.m.  The cost is $5.00 per person.  The first three introductory nights are free for new beginners.  Beverages and snacks are provided.
