Casino Volunteers Needed

A Few Hours of Your Time Keeps our League Operating

Every two years a community league may participate in an AGLC (Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission) designated casino. Our Community League is very dependent on these funds to maintain our facilities (hall, rink, tennis courts, etc.).

To be eligible for these funds, our League needs to provide volunteers.

On Wednesday, August 21 and Thursday, August 22, 2019, our community league will be participating in the Starlight Casino at West Edmonton Mall. We have an experienced casino advisor who will be at our event to train and support us. Some of us have never participated in a casino but our casino advisor assured us that it is not difficult.

We are turning to you to ask for your help. Please review the attached list of Volunteer Position Descriptions, Casino Volunteer Schedule as well as Volunteer Worker Information.

If possible, please provide us with the position you would be willing to work, the day and shift. If you are open to other positions or can work a shift on both Wednesday and Thursday, let us know.

You will be provided with a free meal from the casino restaurant and additional breaks. If you require a taxi for transportation or babysitting services, those receipts can be used for reimbursement.

The continuing operation of our community league depends upon you.

Please let us know by no later than Thursday, July 18th, 2019.

Thanking you in advance,

Bylaw Enforcement Committee

Are you fed up with residents who continually violate the Community Standards Bylaw? Join our community league’s Bylaw Enforcement Committee. We will work together to ensure the city addresses nuisance properties or bylaw offenders. These properties devalue our neighbourhood. Please phone Irene @ 780-489-2994 if you are interested.
